Did you know there are more than 500 kinds of native bees in North Carolina? Celebrate National Pollinator Week with us by buzzing on by our drop-in discovery station. Meet native bee researchers from NC State, peek into a real bumblebee colony, explore how bees help make new plants, and use bee and flower stamps to create art to take home. Researchers will catch and release some wild bees around the garden for safe, close-up encounters, too!
Our pop-up discovery stations are designed for families with children ages 5 and up, but all ages are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. This is a free, walk-up program that takes place outdoors.
