
About this Event
The Drone Pilot Certification Workshop is a 2-day prep course taught by Mandy Briggs, Institute of Aviation at Parkland College.(Mandy's students have over 99% success rate of passing this exam). It is intended to prepare candidates for the Drone Pilot Certification required under the FAA's Small UAS Rule (Part 107).
The course will be held on Dec 15 -16, 2025.
December 15: 8:00 am until 5 pm with practice exams to be completed on your own in the evening.
December 16: We will reconvene at 8:30 am until lunchtime. Exams will be scheduled for the afternoon at Madisonville Community College- (2.5 miles form the extension office)
- Exams may also be taken at another time and/or place if the participant chooses to do so.
Lunch will be included each day.
The exam will take approximately 2 hours and will be scheduled at the FAA testing center. -located at Madisonville Community College. A separate fee of $175 will be paid to the testing center when exam appointment is scheduled. (Instructions and more information on this will be sent)
(Please note: This course covers drone pilot licensing, not drone flying instruction.)
