Join Us for our youth Distance Riding Camp in the Thames-Coromandel📆 Wednesday, January 15 to Saturday, January 18, 2025
📍295 Kitahi Road, Hikuai, Thames-Coromandel
🐴 Camp Information:
Perfect for all levels of riders from beginner (including lead rein) to experienced. Learn about event setup, yard set up, vetting procedures, and on-track etiquette, horse management, both human and horse nutrition and much more. Plus, we have some special guests lined up!
Enjoy a week of summer fun including riding, trekking, swimming, campfires, horse games, making new friends, delicious food, farm experiences, and possibly a beach outing.
👨👩👧👦 Parents/Guardians:
• Children under 14 are encouraged to have a parent or guardian with them. If this is not possible, please contact us to discuss.
• Parents/Guardians are welcome to bring their horses for the “Give It A Go” Day on Saturday during the camp. However, please be aware that this camp is centered around youth activities. Therefore, we kindly ask that Parents/Guardians horses do not take part in these activities.
• Parents/Guardians are welcome to enjoy a day to themselves if they wish. They can explore the area, go to the beach, or assist with camp activities.
🏕️ Camping:
BYO campsite for both horse and rider. For rules and setup guidelines, please refer to our website or contact us. Help is available on site.
💰Cost:
$50 for DRNZ Youth Members (includes meals)
$100 for Non DRNZ Youth Members (includes meals)
$30 Camp Fee for Parents/Guardians (includes meals however not breakfast)

Registrations close and payments due Thursday, December 19, 2024.

Attendees will receive a detailed camp briefing letter covering: Full agenda, Directions, Arrival and Departure times, Emergency contacts, what to bring, Important Camp logistics and Health and Safety
