Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful helps to enhance the City's tree canopy by giving away an assorted variety of Florida-friendly trees twice a year. The first Drive-Thru Tree Giveaway is 8 a.m. Saturday, May 3 at Clover Park, 31 Piazza Drive, and there will be 700 trees available. This year, KPSLB is giving away sugar apple and avocado trees and a limited supply of green buttonwoods, approximately 50 trees.
No walk-ups are allowed. Trees are placed into residents' vehicles by City staff and are given away on a first-come, first-served basis. IDs are required to prove City residency.
Since 2004, approximately 14,000 trees have been distributed through the Tree Giveaway program.
