On Feb. 18, Ash Wednesday, the Great Hill United Methodist Church located at 225 Great Hill Road, Seymour CT, will continue its tradition of Drive Thru Ashes from 7 – 9 am and 3:30 – 5:30 pm in the church's parking lot.To receive your ashes, simply drive into our parking lot, stay warm in your car, roll down your window and have Pastor Jenkins place the ashes on your forehead with the appropriate prayers.
Last year, 275 wonderful souls received their ashes in this manner and this year the Great Hill UMC will be prepared to do the same or more. You need not be Methodist; all Christians are welcome.
Just follow the signs to the Great Hill UMC and begin Lent in a most meaningful and prayerful way.
