About this Event

Fortitude Music has been fortunate to survive the music industry for 8 years. Along that journey, Fortitude Music has worked with Artists, Labels, Publishers, Festivals and government organisations. The one thing that keeps this company ticking is all the new music they discover on their journeys around the world and in the heart of London. It's seeing the audience's face light up with glee, sharing a connection with artists on stage and vice versa. It's working with amazing people and organisations that help music prosper. So we decided to put on a free show to not only entice the music biz but also to make this show accessible to those that find themselves in a tough financial spot. Accessibility is key for Fortitude Music that's why we've chosen to work with The Camden Club.

Drew Thomas

Nottingham raised Drew Thomas leads the charge of independent artists making waves across the alternative scene through hard work and powerful song-writing.

Catching inspiration from the likes of Radiohead, The Killers and intimacy of Bon Iver, Drew’s instinct for penning arena sized choruses and nostalgic lyrics steals the listener’s attention immediately, merging passionate vocals and guitar drenched soundscapes with a darker twist; spilling tales of rejection, broken relationships and addiction.

Having already turned the ear of BBC Introducing, Spotify UK and writing for several award winning international artists, Drew is gearing up for the release of his third EP - Meridian, a series of new age indie anthems aching to be played to the masses in 2023.

The Romantidote

The musical alter ego of Scottish singer-songwriter Calum Bolland, the Romantidote was conceived in Berlin late 2019. A multi-faceted performer, the Romantidote at turns unearths the most intimate of personal anguish and brings guffaws with comedic works and routines. The ‘Dote has become a fixture on the Berlin scene, having played with a number of established musicians, such as Freddie Dickson and Louise McNamara (formerly of Heathers).

With influences including Bob Dylan, the Magnetic Fields and Flight of the Conchords, the mix of styles works mainly due to the unmistakable imprint of Bolland’s writing, an authentic and natural voice prone to irony and self-effacement. His songs engage with grand themes of today’s debate: questions of moral agency, sexual liberation and the devastating decline of Morrissey on a human level. With a magnetic stage presence and sharp-tongued repartee with the crowd, The Romantidote has developed a loyal following.
