Drew bought his first guitar in 2000 to impress a girl. It didn’t work. But it did initiate a musical journey that has progressed into a fun mix of songwriting, performance and musical collaboration.With roots in folk music, Drew and The Truth writes and performs music that blends multiple genres including reggae, blues and rock. D&TT have gone through multiple evolutions, iterations, and reconfigurations as a band (Drew and The Gang, The Bowtie Bandits, The Middle Burner (Was a band name for about two hours) but the players have largely remained the same.
Drew Szeliga (Guitar, bass, vocals), Chris Asbell (Guitar, Uke, Vocals), Sarah Hill (Vocals), Nat Morgan (Percussion) and Alli Hayden (Trumpet and Vocals) bring nearly two decades of music and life lessons to the stage with ambition of conveying "the truth."
The ban has been fortunate enough to have shared the stage with many formidable musicians and groups including: Qwill, Todo Bien, The Brooks Young Band, and national touring artist Jamie Kent.
