**WHEEL THROWING MARATHON - UP, UP, UP!**This is an intermediate wheel-throwing course taught by the experienced potter and tutor Zsófia Földvári. With unlimited access to clay and the wheel you will learn how to utilize the clay better, make taller pieces efficiently and explore more advanced shapes. During the course we remove the pressure of creating finished pieces and concentrate on improving your technique. Therefore, no pieces will be fired in the studio, but there is a possibility to take away your leather hard pieces if you would like.
**Who is the course for?**
To get the most out of this course, you must be able to comfortably centre at least 500 g of clay and make a simple bowl or cylinder.
**Tutor**
The course is held by Zsófia Földvári in English, but you can also speak Norwegian or Hungarian.

**Course content**
**Day 1**
Cylinders and vases
We look at your current technique and improve efficiency and consistency in throwing. We move on to larger amounts of clay and explore different shapes of vases and bottles.
**Day 2**
Bowls
We make a variety of bowls with different geometries and considering the most important points of the bowl-anatomy: the foot, rim and the curve
**Day 3**
Trimming and assembly
We learn efficient techniques for trimming, adding handles and other finishing touches. We learn how to add a thrown foot to a bowl or a cup. We finish our day by learning about clay recycling and discussing the learnings of the course.
Registration is binding. We do not refund the course fee if you do not attend. There is no refund of the course fee in case of illness, quarantine, or similar circumstances, but the spot can be transferred to another person.
