Auditions for a new play by Martin W. Prevost. Dreaming of a Dark Christmas directed by Mike Eserkaln. At the Bellin Building in the SAGE space suite 601. Cast of Characters:
Robert Murphy- The patriarch of the Murphy family, loving to his wife and children but not the biggest fan of his daughter in law. Robert does not yell.
Deb Murphy- The matriarch of the family and wife of Robert. She watches the neighborhood from the living room window and makes wild theories about what she sees. Loving mother to all her children and their significant others.
Mike Murphy- Eldest child and the only married one. Mike is easy-going and likes to rib his siblings and is in a loving marriage to his wife.
Clear Murphy- Mike’s wife, doesn’t get along with Robert but wants to be part of the family. Smoker.
Margrett (Pam) Murphy- The middle child of the family, works as a bank teller and is currently single. Slightly air headed and confrontational. Currently wants to be called Pam by her family.
Suzy Murphy- The youngest child, currently attending College gets into fights with her older sister but truly loves her. Has brought her new girlfriend to Christmas.
Jessica Farcry- New girlfriend to Suzy, also a college student.
Synopsis: The Murphy’s husband Robert and wife Deb prepare to celebrate a traditional Christmas Eve with there family. Consisting of son Mike and his wife Clear, middle child Margrett and youngest Suzy who is bringing her new girlfriend Jessica. As the family reunite and discuss there lives and problems, Christmas legends are told and a discussion regarding if the neighbors are involved in a cult are had. When an uninvited guest arrives in the neighborhood things take a turn for the weird as the family tries to stay together and have a Marry Christmas.
