Steve Brouse's solo exhibition, "Dreaming In Color... A Celebration of Art, Imagination and Play," is on display now through December 13, 2025, at the Boynton Beach Arts & Cultural Center. The exhibit features a collection of his paintings from 2005 to the present, with additional art located upstairs. Steve will lead two children's art workshops (ages 8–12) as part of the "Juice Boxes & Paint" series, with both sessions running from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM:
November 15, 2025: Participants will build and paint their own robot, immediately followed by a public artist reception from 3:30 PM to 5:30 PM.
December 13, 2025: Participants will build and paint cardboard sculptures inspired by Alexander Calder.
A dedicated teaching artist since 2005 for the Center for Creative Education, Steve has instructed children in various mediums including painting and sculptural work using reused materials.
With a background in graphic design, Steve developed a passion for painting in acrylics. His "primitive pop" style is inspired by 80's pop culture (including Keith Haring), Picasso, Chagall, folklore, and ancient symbolism. His diverse community contributions include murals, painted furniture, banners, and sculptures. Steve shares his creative philosophy: "my paintings develop from my imagination and most importantly, directly from my heart. Painting leads me to a cool and calm place...a place where we'd like to be".
