Alan Syliboy and the Thundermakers will highlight an evening line-up that will bring you into the past, present and future.
This year, the urgency is palpable. Having completed our first year of treatment, we will be kicking off our spring season with an event to inspire! The ancient hemlock trees of Asitu'lɨsk face the threat from the Hemlock Woolly Adelgid (HWA), an invasive species that could eliminate these majestic giants from our region. Addressing this threat requires significant resources, with an estimated cost of over $350,000+ needed to treat the multi-generational Eastern Hemlocks (some whom are 500+ years old) spanning across Asitu'lɨsk. The 2024 Dreamers’ Gala is not just a celebration but a call to action. This December, attendees will not only be regaled by the talents of Indigenous performers of Mi'kma'ki, but will also be inspired and enlighten about the work we are doing on the land and for the land.
