About this Event
Join us for a Family Art Workshop featuring special guest UnLocal. Deepen your creativity through art-making with High Line Teaching Artists, while discovering the unique garden designs of Piet Oudolf, and celebrate BIPOC stories of resilience, prosperity, and joy with UnLocal’s presentation of Nuestros Libros.
Nuestros Libros invites BIPOC authors to lead a readathon, highlighting stories centering experiences of migrating and being undocumented to foster inclusivity. Local authors will host reading circles tailored for toddlers, ages 8 – 12, and young adults. Participants can showcase their creative expression by sharing during an open mic session. Families can explore a variety of multilingual books from independent NYC bookstores, the New York Public Library, and a community bookshelf offering free take-home books.
Activities are specialized for ages 3 – 12, and promise a fun and enriching experience for all ages. Dream wilder with us!
