In this atmospheric space, you'll have the opportunity to sketch and draw still life scenes featuring vintage finds — personal possessions and objects rich with history and stories. These items, though not valuable in a traditional sense, carry a deep sense of nostalgia and character, making them perfect subjects for creative exploration. You will also be invited to bring along your own object to draw, if you wish!
Using a variety of mixed media materials such as charcoal, ink, and chalk, you’ll experiment with different textures and techniques to bring these old objects to life on paper. Whether it's the worn edges of a vintage book, the bobbled surface of an old bottle, or the intricate details of a forgotten trinket, this workshop invites you to capture the beauty in decay and the stories embedded in everyday objects. All materials and equipment included, but you are welcome to bring your own art materials, sketchbook and any objects you wish to draw. Hot drinks and biscuits are provided, there will be a break for lunch in the session - please bring something for lunch as there aren't many shops nearby.
