Drawing and Painting Studio Session 1: Graphite

Cost*: $125 for the full 5-part class, $25 for individual class-- Pre-registration required, materials not included
This multi-session studio class will help you improve your skills in drawing and painting. The series of open-studio art classes will give you the chance to practice with various materials and build up your skills. We will work with graphite, charcoal and acrylic to complete multiple fine-art compositions. Each class will begin with a group critique of the prior artwork; then we will go into the lesson of the next material and begin working on our composition.
To reduce the cost of the class, students will be required to purchase materials. A class materials list is provided.
Week 1 - Intros
Graphite drawing lesson—shape, negative space, scale and line.
You can either sign up for a single session or sign up for the entire series every Thursday from 1/16-2/13.
