Drawing a still life is a timeless artistic tradition. No matter what your current skill level, the challenge of drawing objects from life will always offer you the opportunity to improve your drawing ability. In this class, you will practice skills such as: composition, mark-making, sight measurement for achieving accurate proportions, line, shape and negative space, and value (using light and shadow). I will share some of the tips and tricks I use when I draw, as well as provide quick sketching challenges that will inspire new ways of seeing and drawing.
Bring your own supplies to draw and sketch or use basic drawing supplies we have available here. Minimum supplies to bring are a sketchbook, pencil and eraser.
