Installation workshop about migratory journey as part of the 'In the Process of Making' exhibition at Treehouse NDSM.
About this Event

A migratory journey may take one from a country to another, even from a continent to another. Or it may simply bring one to the next town. Regardless how far, it has the potential to change a life forever. The journey of the migrant is a personal-universal history, constantly repeated through time. The objective of this workshop is to guide the participants in the creation of a personal map of their own migration journey using printed images, maps, painting, drawing and objects.

Neyde Lantyer participates to the group exhibition In the Process on Making with her piece Transit . From March 16th to April 9th, the audience will be invited to co-create with the artists. During this 4-week long show, all the artworks will continue to unfold and new pieces will be created, as a way to privilege the process over the final product.

Neyde Lantyer is a Brazilian visual artist, art researcher and cultural practitioner based in Amsterdam. She works with video, photography and creates installations. Her work investigates memory, the passing of time, geography and displacement related to gender and migration. At the same time, she reflects on the political forces in dispute in our society.
