Draw a Chibi Manga Character

Be introduced to manga artist drawing tools and learn how to draw yourself as a chibi manga character! No prior drawing skill is required, perfect for beginners. Worksheets will be given. Materials are provided to be used in class or participants can bring their own materials (pencils, eraser, marker) to draw. This short workshop is suitable for people who can only attend one Sunday class or would like to attend a trial before enrolling into the full 4-weeks course. This workshop is limited to 12 pax.

• To understand what are the art materials used by professionals
• To use basic shapes to draw chibi manga characters

Instructor:

Evangeline Neo is a creative comic artist from Singapore. She has been drawing unique and quirky webcomics for more than 15 years and has been publishing her own regular online comic series "Evacomics" since 2010 with over 100,000 likes on her Facebook and Instagram. Eva's published comic books include: ”Eva, Kopi and Matcha”, “Eva Goes Solo”, “Eva, Kopi and Matcha 2.0” and “A Manga Lover’s Tokyo Travel Guide” (IPPY Bronze Award). She has taught at Nanyang Polytechnic and NAFA, as well as conducted extra-curricular art classes at international and primary schools in Singapore. Eva has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Academy of Art University, San Francisco and Masters in Business Administration from Waseda University in Tokyo. She is currently registered with MOE (AMIS) to conduct classes at MOE schools.

• A minimum of 5 participants is required to start the workshops. If there is insufficient participation, the workshops will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. Participants will be notified 1 week in advance.
• Photographs or recordings might be captured during the workshops. Participants are deemed to have consented to be photographed or captured in video for the purpose of publicity and advertising for the courses on online and social media.
• There is no refund after the workshops have been paid. However if there is a change in time due to unforeseen circumstances, participants will be promptly informed and a refund will be made.
