The environment is an extra character in any improv scene, who will always agree with you and always support you. Starting with real props, you will learn the hows and whys of using complex, fleshed-out environments to make discoveries, build character, express emotion and relationship history, get out of your head, and find comfort in silence.

Why Dramatic Improv? Are we allowed to be funny? Well, "dramatic improv" is basically shorthand for "grounded improvised theatre that explores the entire spectrum of human emotion and deals with vulnerable people acting truthfully and connecting in a deep way". But that doesn't fit easily on a t-shirt. Come check out Chicago's only theatre dedicated to dramatic improvisation. See you there!
