Dramatherapy workshops on our female identity.Cycle A: Artemis.
The first archetype to be explored is that which arises from the experience of every girl at the age when she begins to realise that she is no longer a child but a woman. The teenage girl is characterised by a state in which her whole body and soul are enclosed in a chrysalis from which there is no escape except through inevitable transformation.
The chrysalis is characterised by a wise intuition and an unfettered will to live outside the current social compromises. The goddess Artemis and her "eternal virginity" symbolize her desire to remain forever true in her nature and pure in her self-expression.
Using drama therapy tools such as movement, dramatisation, clay, colour and imagery, memories and emotions that connect or disrupt the woman's connection to the qualities of Artemis are accessed with the aim of creating a process of transformation.
It concerns any transitional period in a woman's life.
In Greek antiquity, but also in the traditions of other cultures, transitions were supported by the so-called "rites of passage".
We invite women who feel the call of Artemis to an initiation into the qualities of the Goddess and the teaching of "passing" from one state to a new state and position, self and life.
