Stephanopoulos is a nationally recognized expert in election law, constitutional law, and democratic theory. His scholarship has appeared in leading law reviews and major media outlets. He has been involved in several litigation efforts as well, including two partisan gerrymandering cases based on his scholarship and decided by the U.S. Supreme Court. He is the author of Aligning Election Law and coauthor of the leading casebook Election Law: Cases and Materials. Stephanopoulos also serves as Director of Strategy for Harvard’s Election Law Clinic and co-founded PlanScore and TrueViews, tools that help visualize redistricting and policy preferences.
