Dragon’s Back Easy Hike & Social Walk
Join a beginner-friendly hike along Dragon’s Back, one of Hong Kong’s most famous and scenic trails. This is a casual, social outdoor event designed for people who want to enjoy nature, move a little and connect naturally through conversation.
Dragon’s Back is consistently ranked as one of the best hikes in Hong Kong thanks to its coastal views, manageable terrain, and relaxed pace. No hiking experience is required.
Hike Details
- Difficulty: Easy (some steps, no technical sections)
- Distance: ~5 km
- Duration: Approximately 2 hours (including breaks and photos)
- Terrain: Well-marked paths with open views
- Fitness level: Suitable for beginners and casual walkers
Route Overview
- Meet at Shau Kei Wan MTR
- Short bus ride together to To Tei Wan / Shek O Road
- Hike along Dragon’s Back
- Finish at Tai Tam Gap
What to Bring
- Comfortable walking or hiking shoes
- Water (at least 1 - 1.5L)
- Sunscreen / cap
- Light snacks
This is not a hardcore hike and not a tour group. It’s a social walk in nature. After the hike, those who wish can join for an optional casual lunch nearby. There’s no fixed menu or set cost, everyone simply orders and pays for what they like.
