We supply the nets and know-how, you catch the dragonflies!Join Saint Paul Natural Resources, Capitol Region Watershed District, Minnesota Dragonfly Society, Dragons Wynd, Wakan Tipi Awanyankapi, Friends of the Mississippi River, and MN SEED Project as we explore life in the park.
Spend the afternoon outside and learn all about our ecosystem. Catch dragonflies and other macroinvertebrates from the air and water. Make a seed ball, practice preparing native plant seeds for sowing, learn about conservation work and how it impacts our local habitat. What do the plants and animals we find do for us, what they can tell us about our water and climate, and what we can do to support a healthy ecosystem for people and dragonflies.
Bring a smartphone or tablet to become a community scientist and document what you find on iNaturalist!
