Dragonauts333: American Cultures

Join Dragonauts Crew 333 and Dragonauts Troop 333 at the Lotus Festival Day to enjoy the Culture of KOREA and complete requirements for the following merit badge ON SATURDAY JULY 12 from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.

• AMERICAN CULTURES - Review the requirements and come prepared to discuss and share YOUR CULTURE AND ONE OTHER CULTURE OF YOUR CHOICE. Be prepared to paddle in a dragon row-boat with members of the medal-winning and only all Scout dragon boat racing team in the world. Be prepared to learn about 2 other cultures including KOREAN culture on July 13.

Minimum Age is 11 years old by July 15, 2025.

If you are NOT a registered member of Dragonauts Crew 333 and/or Dragonauts Troop 333 by JULY 1, 2025, you must bring a copy of BOTH of the following documents to check in with Dragonauts Crew 333 on July 12.

NOTES - PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING - BEFORE SIGNING UP!

1) There are NO REFUNDS - if you find yourself unable to attend, please find your own replacement to purchase your spot on the roster from you directly.

2) The AMERICAN CULTURES MERIT BADGE DAY is $45.00 per participant aged 11-17 years old.

3) ALL SCOUTING AMERICA YOUTH WILL WEAR THEIR UNIFORM AND BRING THEIR BLUE CARD. Be prepared to paddle in the dragon row-boat with the world's only all-Scout dragon boat racing team in the world. Life vest, paddle and boat provided.

4) The Cost to Join Dragonauts Crew 333 is $383.00 for 12-months of membership including (a) up to 3 dragon boat racing competitions, (b) crew insignia, (c) crew swag. The Participant Cost for the American Cultures Merit Badge Day at Echo Park Lake is included in the annual membership.

5) The Cost to join Dragonauts Troop 333 is $383.00 for 12-months of membership including (a) up to 3 standard dragon boat racing competitions, (b) troop insignia, and (c) troop swag. The Participant Cost for the American Cultures Merit Badge Day at Echo Park Lake is included in the annual membership.

6) LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED - PLEASE BRING MONEY TO PURCHASE FOOD AND DRINK AND SOUVENIRS.

7) PARKING FEES ARE NOT INCLUDED - PLEASE CARPOOL IF YOU CAN.

8) THIS IS NOT A DROP-OFF FOR ANY YOUTH UP TO 13 YEARS OF AGE.

9) IF YOU ARE SIGNING UP TO JOIN THE DRAGONAUTS TROOP OR THE DRAGONAUTS CREW - AND DO NOT HAVE A SCOUTING AMERICA UNIFORM - PLEASE WEAR RED OR YELLOW COLOR TOPS WITH ANY LONG BOTTOMS AND SHOES THAT CAN GET WET.

10) MAXIMUM ROSTER HEADCOUNT IS 8-PERSONS FOR THE DRAGON ROW-BOAT.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------DRAGONAUTS CREW 333 is for all youth at least 13 years old who enjoy STEM based Outdoor Adventures including Dragon Boat Racing on the Trail to Summit Rank and Ranger Award.

Dragonauts CREW 333 usually meets on the FIRST SUNDAY of the MONTH somewhere in Southern California based on their planned activity. A detailed MEETING SCHEDULE with location details will be shared with all Dragonauts VIA the Dragonaut INTRANET on the BAND app.

Dragon Boat Practice Sessions are scheduled between FEBRUARY and OCTOBER to coincide with the Dragon Boat Races in MARCH, MAY/JUNE, JULY, SEPTEMBER and OCTOBER.

FIRST SUNDAYS - EVEN MONTHS - CABRILLO MARINA IN SAN PEDRO.

FIRST SUNDAYS - ODD MONTHS - SANTA FE DAM IN IRWINDALE.

SECOND SUNDAYS - CABRILLO MARINA IN SAN PEDRO.

THIRD SUNDAYS - ODD MONTHS - SANTA FE DAM IN IRWINDALE.

THIRD SUNDAYS - EVEN MONTHS - CABRILLO MARINA IN SAN PEDRO.

DRAGONAUTS TROOP 333 is for all youth at least 11 years old or have completed 5th Grade at the time of joining who enjoy STEM based Outdoor Adventures including Dragon Boat Racing on the Trail to Eagle Scout Rank.

Dragonauts Troop 333 usually meets on the FIRST and THIRD SUNDAY of the MONTH somewhere in Southern California based on their planned activity.
