Do you love going to the movies? Do you love drag shows? Well, do we have the party for you! Grab your friends and join some of your favorite local drag artists for another addition of our series DRAG Me to the Movies! This time around we will be showing the film Burlesque. Come enjoy the film on the big screen while surprise performances happen throughout the movie including additional performances by local burlesque company Sweet Cheeks Cabaret!A portion of ticket sales will benefit Alaska Literacy Program. There will be themed drink specials and dressing up is strongly encouraged. Don’t forget to bring some $$$ to tip the hardworking performers.

With 18 years of drag performance experience between them, your hosts Golden Delicious and Athena Nuff can’t wait to see you there! After their unsuccessful attempt at becoming two Hollywood starlets, these bearded babes have been taking the Alaska (and beyond) community by storm. You may have seen them at the Pink Pony Club at Bear Tooth Theatrepub or watched Athena’s endless Instagram stories, but you’ll be sure to enjoy this new event, “DRAG Me to the Movies”.
Alaska Literacy Program is a volunteer-led Adult Education program celebrating 50 years of changing lives through literacy through Adult Education services, including English Communication Skills, Reading Comprehension, Civics Literacy, Digital Literacy Classes, Test Prep Support, and College and Career Readiness classes.
