Drag Make-Up with Hexe Noire and Bae B. Butcher

Back AGAIN by popular demand! Sashay into the fierce, often glamorous, and always fabulous world of drag queens and kings. Join local artists Hexe Noire and Bae B. Butcher for a drag makeup extravaganza. Come learn the basics of drag queen OR KING makeup, from blocking brows, applying lashes, and adding the sparkle to make the whole fantasy come alive. No makeup experience needed! This event is open to all genders, all ages, to anyone who wants to give drag makeup a try for the day or to learn some new skills that can be utilized to experiment at home. Including a free take home kit!

Welcome to Industry’s WorkWeekend, three days of workshops and events for Hamilton artists and the public. Whether you're just starting out, or want to dig deeper, WorkWeekend has something for you!
Classes are either FREE or ask a $20 entry fee per workshop. If this presents any barriers, please get in touch with Maddie at [email protected] so we can ensure your participation. We encourage PWYC donations from those who can, and can take debit or credit on the day.
All WorkWeekend workshop spaces live in accordance with Industry Safer Spaces policy, available on our website. Everyone is welcome, safe, and respected.

ABOUT HEXE NOIRE
Hexe Noire has been showcasing her work in Hamilton for the last seven years. Through her experience and accolades, she has made an impressive name for herself regionally. Ms. Noire is acting “Mother” to Hamilton’s drag house “Haus of Noire,” founded in 2019. Hexe Noire is the recipient of a 2025 City of Hamilton creator award and has worked with and opened for a number of RuPaul’s drag queens.
As a queer cis woman and mother to four amazing children, Ms. Noire understands the importance of community support. She works diligently in our local communities by hosting library drag story time events for Indigo, Rivers and Meadows, Hamilton and Branford public libraries amoung others. Hexe has provided family-friendly drag performance programming through her contributions to AGH (Art Gallery Hamilton) Fringe Festival, Pride Hamilton, Binbrook Pride, Hamilton Winterfest, Concession Street Festival, Super Crawl and others. Finally, she is known for her work as both host, performer, and advocate for new drag performers at her monthly Open Stage event Stage Fright showcasing monthly at Hamilton’s Farside.
ABOUT BAE B. BUTCHER
Bae B. Butcher is a highly celebrated drag king who has worked throughout Ontario and across international borders. He has worked within the community speaking up about trans rights at major events such as Trans Day of Remembrance in Hamilton, and within the Imperial Court. He was recognized as Ontario’s Drag King of the Year in 2023 at the Red Gala Awards. Bae B. has hosted all-king drag shows in London, Toronto, and Hamilton, giving recognition to kings across the province and works regularly with Doors Taco Bar and Metal Joint in Hamilton hosting alternative drag shows. He is currently finishing his diploma in makeup and mixed media at Sheridan College.
