All are invited to the research talk, "Sounding Environmental and Local Histories in Lexington, KY" presented by Dr. Megan Murph on Jan 23 at 4pm in Stewart Hall. Drawing on interviews, local media coverage, and scholarship in geography, ecomusicology, and environmental studies, Dr. Murph's research explores four sound works that engage the ecological, political, and historical landscape of Lexington, KY.
This talk is free and open to the public, sponsored by the MU Hearing Place StudioLab (Center for Humanities) and the Budds Center for American Music Studies.
