About this Event

Stevie Wonder is one of the most respected and successful musicians of all time. His indelible songs - classics like “Superstition,” “Isn't She Lovely,” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” are some of the most enduring hits of the last fifty years. Dr. Mike Daley Presents: The Stevie Wonder Story is an entertaining lecture-concert celebrating his life and music, featuring Mike on guitar, Mike Ferfolia on bass and lead vocals, Adam Warner on drums, Michael Shand on keyboards and Jill Daley on piano and violin.

You'll learn about the fascinating life of Stevie Wonder, from his humble beginnings in Saginaw, Michigan to his signing with Motown Records at 11 years old, his years as a child star and his emergence as a multi-talented, platinum-selling musician and songwriter. The latest in a monthly series that has included sold-out lecture-concerts on Simon and Garfunkel, Billy Joel, Gordon Lightfoot, Tina Turner and the Beach Boys, The Stevie Wonder Story is a must-see for any music fan.

Dr. Mike Daley is a musician and music historian known across the GTA for his highly entertaining and informative talks on popular music. Mike Ferfolia (The Beach Boys Story, The Monkees Story) is an in-demand singer and bassist with a variety of bands around the GTA. Adam Warner (The Guess Who Story, The Rolling Stones Story) is an established multi-instrumentalist and music educator. Michael Shand (making his Dr. Mike Daley Presents debut) is a respected session and live musician. Jill Daley (all shows) is a full-time musician at Canada's National Ballet School and, like Mike, is part of the music staff at Redeemer.

Church of the Redeemer is a spacious and comfortable (cushioned chairs, not pews)1879 church with excellent sightlines and acoustics. It is conveniently located in Yorkville, close to Bay and Museum subway stations, ample parking and fine restaurants.

General admission tickets are $35.00 plus HST and processing fee. These events usually sell out, but if tickets are available at the door, they will be $50.00, cash only.
