Day 2:
Medication + Behaviour Modification
Using medications in behavioural plans can be controversial and complex to navigate in the dog training world. This presentation will cover in depth how the nervous system is involved in behaviour, how medications can work, and how to identify which dogs may benefit. A broad range of behavioural diagnoses will be discussed, and the underlying neurological changes and treatment plans explored.
It will also walk participants through building relationships with vets, and how to support clients and dogs who are using medications.
Common issues such as separation anxiety, aggression, noise phobias and more will be covered in case studies, to illustrate how behavioural modification and medication can be used hand in hand to produce great outcomes for dog and client teams.
Participants are welcome to bring any current cases to be discussed in an open Q&A as examples. We also welcome submission of questions prior to the seminar.
