Dr Luca Trenta is an Associate Professor in International Relations at Swansea University. He is an expert in intelligence and covert operations. He is the author of The President’s K*ll List: Assassination in US Foreign Policy since 1945 (Edinburgh University Press 2024). He has written several articles on the US government’s involvement in covert operations and assassinations. He is also the co-editor of Killing in the name of the state: state-sponsored assassinations in international Politics (Lynne Rienner 2025). He has often contributed to media outlets including The Conversation, BBC News, and Deutsche Welle.
