In this presentation, Dr. Sullivan will explain plant movement ecology.
Dr. Lauren Sullivan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Biology at Michigan State University and the Kellogg Biological Station. Her lab uses quantitative (both statistical and mathematical) tools to understand plant movement ecology. They are interested in how different global change factors like, habitat fragmentation, nutrient loading, and alterations to global herbivore communities influence plant reproduction and dispersal, and the subsequent consequences of this movement for population and community dynamics.
All indoor programs are at the People’s Church, 1758 N 10th St, Kalamazoo, 49009. Socializing begins at 6:30 pm and the programs begin at 7:00 pm. Non-members are always welcome to join us for programs and field trips. Masks are recommended but not required in the church.
