He is a Sociology Professor at UT Arlington, and former Chair of the Arlington Unity Council, where he worked directly with city leadership for five years. A devoted husband, father, and proud resident of Arlington, Dr. Shelton is committed to serving the community through innovative leadership and ideas, collaboration, and listening to Arlington residents in working as a team in the American Dream City.
