Save the date for DPKA Summer Camps 2025! The last day of school for ACPS is Tuesday June 3rd. TENTATIVELY the first day of our Summer Camps will be Monday JUNE 9th.
As always, our day camps will run through the entire summer (which is usually 10 full weeks). The ACPS calendar for next school year isn’t out yet. Once it’s finalized, we will know a definite end day for camp!
Camps will be M-F 8AM-4PM. Extended care will be available for students that need to arrive earlier or leave later.
Scholarships that help with most of the costs will be available for families that qualify, thanks to funding from the Children’s Trust of Alachua County. Full private pay spots will be available, but will be limited.
Starting February 1st we will open the interest list to take names of interested families.
Starting March 1st we will open a waiting list for families that have been approved to attend from the interest list.
Between March 1st & April 1st, we will take non refundable deposits to hold the child’s spot for summer.
Between April 1st & May 1st, we will schedule families to come in to fill out needed applications & paperwork.
Priority will be given to current DPKA After-Schoolers, as well as, current DPKA Pre-K students that will be entering kindergarten & eligible to attend summer camp.
This year’s camps will be centered around horticulture, agriculture, the love of animals, some home economics & some adventure!
We are not sure- just yet what ages & grades we will be taking for Summer Camps, but will know soon. We are still planning & preparing! Definitely elementary students & possibly middle schoolers.
Join the event invite, as updates will be posted here.
We are not 100% sure yet, but this year, we may offer camp at two different locations. We will know more in the coming few months.
