Old Town Cape is thrilled to announce we will be hosting the 2025 Downtown Sculpture Exhibition in the historic downtown district of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. The original program, the Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, was established over a decade ago by the Arts Council of Southeast Missouri. The revamped 2025 Downtown Sculpture Exhibition will feature 6 large-scale sculptures positioned along Broadway, Cape’s vibrant downtown corridor. The program selects all exhibition pieces annually through a juried process that welcomes submissions from local, regional, and nationally exhibiting sculptors. The sculptures selected for 2025 will be displayed along the nine-block Broadway corridor in downtown Cape Girardeau from September 2025 to June 2026, providing tens of thousands of visitors and residents the opportunity to experience public art in Missouri's historic river city.APPLY NOW: https://forms.gle/aAvsCep6nGsCCzEy8

TIMELINE:
August 1, 2025 – Application Submission Deadline (No Fee $0)
August 5, 2025 – Notification of acceptance to artists
August 8, 2025 – Artist’s deadline for acceptance
September 5, 2025
– Installation of works (morning)
– Reception + Artist Meet & Greet (5-6pm)
– Tunes at Twilight Outdoor Concert (6:30-7:30pm)
– First Friday with the Arts
June 8-12, 2026 – Removal of works
