About this Event
After a fun-filled summer, the idea of going back to school may not be at the top of the list for students in grades K-12. However, a team representing downtown Attleboro organizations and businesses has been working to make the return to the classroom an exciting time – filled with community connection and support for downtown Attleboro’s small businesses.
Now in its third year, Downtown Attleboro’s Celebrate Back-to-School program continues to thrive following a successful debut that sparked strong interest and enthusiasm among young families. This annual event is designed to strengthen community ties by encouraging attendees to explore downtown, connect with local business owners and nonprofit leaders, and joyfully welcome the new school year. Families can enjoy a mix of outdoor cultural and physical activities, while also taking part in scheduled programs, initiatives, and special incentives offered by downtown businesses and organizations. Participation is free and open to all students and their caregivers. All activities are a short walk from one another, but there is a first come, first served FREE shuttle leaving at 8:45am from Cuddy Court, at the corner of Academy St. & Sanford St.. The bus will make one loop and stop near most activities. FREE parking for all in the Sanford St. garage.
All Attleboro students grades K-12 can pick up a FREE back-to-school t-shirt from the bus (even if you’re not riding the shuttle). One shirt per Attleboro student, while supplies last.
There are a total of 16 downtown businesses and organizations partnering to produce the 2025 Celebrate Back-to-School event. The program was founded in 2023 by members of the TDI Attleboro Partnership and has expanded to include the additional downtown collaborators listed with the schedule below.
Students must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Celebrate Back-to-School is not a drop-off program.
