The UK’s wildest export in the electronicore scene, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship blend heavy riffs, brutal breakdowns, and infectious EDM hooks into a genre-defying assault on the senses. Born in the heart of Leicestershire in late 2013, the band quickly ditched the small-town life and hit the road hard. With their relentless touring ethic, CBJS have played across Europe, Russia, the Philippines, rarely staying still for long.Over the years, they’ve earned a reputation for bringing the party to stages around the world, sharing bills with the likes of Electric Callboy, We Came As Romans, The Devil Wears Prada, and more. Festival crowds have also witnessed their chaos at Download Festival, Impericon Fest, and Paradise Fest in Thailand, proving CBJS can tear it up on any continent.
Fast forward to 2025, with time and attention turned to writing and producing new music. Their first single in 3 years is “Chemicals”, released on the 12th November. Co-written, mixed and mastered by long term friend and producer Ben Gaines, the song both maintains that distinctive CBJS sound as well as nods to modern metal artists like Bad Omens and Spiritbox.
“Chemicals” is our first release since Sentiments (2022), exploring the natural chemistry in our brains that drives our emotions and connections. It’s about the rush, the comedown, and how overwhelming it can be when your own mind is the thing pulling the strings. Energetic and introspective, it reflects the intensity of feeling everything all at once.”

RXPTRS are a new wave of British rock. The energetic quintet combine ferocious grit with an ear for melody. Built upon the backdrop of the UK, the fiercely creative, long term friends set out with a sonic mission statement to not succumb to a single barrier, to push boundaries and go beyond the limit of genres, creating a raw sound that is unmistakably their own.
Each raucous track is laced with lyrical depth as RXPTRS lay it all on the line. They state, “Music is a vessel, this is how we channel the experiences that have shaped us. This is how we bare our scars”
Quickly becoming renowned for their explosive live performances the group’s hardcore following continues to grow. Their work horse mentality towards touring has seen them light up stages across the UK and Europe alongside the likes of Atreyu, Skunk Anansie, Escape the Fate, Skindred, Holding Absence, Light the Torch and more.
After releasing debut album through the legendary Metal Blade records, RXPTRS caught the attention and received praise from the likes of Anthrax and Pantera’s Charlie Benante, Ozzy Osbourne and Rob Zombie’s Blasko, as well as heroes such as Mudvayne.
RXPTRS’ visceral energy continues to infect the population as they cut their teeth on the live scene, with no sign of slowing, they’re truly hellbent on welcoming everyone to Planet RXPTR.
