ABOUT DOUG DAVIS
North Carolina musician Doug Davis has attempted to play every position on the musical playing field: producer, engineer, sideman, film/TV/jingle composer, wedding singer. But at the end of the day, he always comes back to songwriting and recording.
Drawing on decades of experience performing with musicians like Chris Stamey, Mitch Easter, Alejandro Escovedo, Robyn Hitchcock, Sally Spring, Mark Kano, Artie Lamonica of the Shirts, Jerry Chapman, and many others, Doug is mostly taking his own place behind the mic these days, infusing his classic American roots style with a bit of everything from power-pop to indie-folk to post-punk.
Doug has opened for Cracker, The Smithereens, Tift Merritt, Smashmouth, the Fray, and Sister Hazel, and his sync music has been featured in dozens of television shows and films, including Saturday Night Live, Dateline, The Voice, and Last Call with Carson Daly. He has also built a successful career as a producer and sound engineer for his own studio in Winston-Salem, NC, with clients including Rhiannon Giddens and Chris Daughtry.

With a reverence for the formal elements of poetry and narrative, Davis aims to be a meticulous craftsman. His songs are intentional, and every element reflects the work of an author with a clear story to tell. And he’s always fortunate to surround himself with some of the region’s most talented and creative bandmates and co-collaborators.
ABOUT BASS BATTERY
The rock duo of Bass Battery features Norwood Cheek (bass, vocals) and Rob Ladd (drums). Their 9-song debut record - Life in Shambles, is the coming together of similar journeys and a shared determination to write and create music that ignores the limitations of just bass and drums and establishes a sound that is driving, indie pop, rock and roll.
