
About this Event
The City of Cooper City and Optimist Club of Cooper City are hosting a Doubles Pickleball Tournament to benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. The exciting event offers players the ability to register as a single player to take part in a round robin tournament, where a partner will be selected for them, or a competitive round robin where players can register their team to take on the competition. While plenty of action will be taking place on the court, this tournament will also feature food, drinks, music, vendors and giveaways!
This event is volunteer-driven and strives to raise money for cancer research. Please note, the service fee charged by Eventbrite is helping make our registration process organized and user-friendly.
Tournament Format
Round Robin
In our Round Robin format, players of all experience levels will register as single players. This sign-up means you are ready to have a good time while making new friends along the way! Our volunteers will partner our single players, who will then take part in a doubles tournament and enjoy a minimum of three (3) games. Win by a one-point margin. There will be a maximum of 24 teams for Round Robin.
Competitive Round Robin
In Competitive Round Robin, players will register as a team. This registration is separated into two experience levels: Beginner and Intermediate. Winners will be decided by a one-point margin.
Tournament Schedule
The schedule will be created upon the closing of registration. Check-in will begin at 7:30 AM on the event day. Games will start at 8 AM.
Registration Fee
Round Robin
Registration is $30 (plus service fee) for single players. Through your registration, $30 will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Competive Round Robin
Registration is $60 (plus service fee) per team. Through your registration, $60 will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Sponsors & Vendors
Get in the game and show your organization's support for this great cause! Six (6) court sponsorships are available, providing the opportunity to place your banner on the fencing that encloses our pickleball courts on the day of the event. Court Sponsors must provide a $300 donation (plus applicable service fee) and their own banner. Banners must be 2' x 4'.
Businesses and organizations can also showcase their their goods and services at the event by becoming a registered vendor. Vendors must provide a $50 donation (plus applicable service fee), at least one (1) item to be raffled at the event, and their own 10' x 10' tent at the event. The City of Cooper City will provide one table and two chairs per vendor.
