Weave Twice as Wide as Your Loom Width! Yes, You Can!NOTE: This is a two part class. When you register, you will be enrolled for both days - September 23rd and 25th
Have you ever wished that you had a really wide room, then sighed and realized you would have nowhere to put one? After all, it’s not every single project where you want to weave 36+ inches wide, right?
Weaving double the weaving width of your loom is the answer, whether you have 4 shafts, 8 shafts, or more!
In this class, you will learn:
How and why weaving double the width of your works;
How to wind your warp so you can weave two layers of fabric at the same time;
Tips and Tricks on how to make your weft turn a corner neatly and without bunching up your warp.
How to expand your patterning from plain weave (on 4 shafts) to fancy patterns (8 shafts or more)
How to start and how to stop your weaving so the whole thing doesn’t come unraveled when you take it off the loom!
This class is part classroom lecture and part hands on. Small looms will be provided for your use during class.
Dates: Monday, September 23rd, and Wednesday, September 25th
Time: 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Cost: $95 includes your handouts, materials, and use of a warped loom during class.
