(A) JOURNALISM - emphasis is on broadcast journalism option at Disneyland where you will be the Field Journalist reporting live from the Outer Rim as the world of Jedi, Storm Troopers, and other folks congregate for MAY THE FOURTH. You will write out your report either as a news report or as a feature. Read the Journalism Merit Badge booklet for definitions.

This is a RARE merit badge to earn as you will have to TOUR IN PERSON a broadcast studio to ask questions to your tour guide before you come on May 4 if you want a completed blue card -or- it will be a partial.

You may visit a COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY RADIO STATION OR TELEVISION STATION instead of a CORPORATION.

Research the information you will need to fulfill the requirements of the Journalism merit badge BY APRIL 15 before you show up on MAY THE FOURTH:

(B) ENTREPRENEURSHIP - IMAGINE you are given the opportunity to have a business in Disneyland, what would it be? Research the information you will need to fulfill the requirements as listed below before you come to Disneyland Park on MAY THE FOURTH - and be prepared to TALK AND SHOW what you have discovered:

NOTES - PLEASE READ ALL LISTED BELOW CAREFULLY:

1) COST IS FOR THE LIMITED EDITION DISNEY EVENT SOUVENIR. You are responsible for your own THEME PARK ADMISSION into Disneyland on MAY 4, 2025.

2) ALL SCOUTS MUST WEAR THEIR SCOUT FIELD UNIFORM THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE MERIT BADGE SESSION:

• SCOUTS BSA - KHAKI/TAN SHIRT WITH ARMY GREEN BOTTOMS.
• VENTURERS - GREEN SHIRT WITH GREY BOTTOMS.
• DRAGONAUTS - DRAGONAUTS RED WITH ANY BOTTOMS.

3) THIS IS NOT A DROP OFF FOR ANY SCOUT NOT YET 14 YEARS OLD AS OF MAY 4, 2025.

All Scouts 12-13 YEARS OLD must be accompanied by ONE ADULT AT LEAST 25 YEARS OLD (DISNEY RULES ARE ADULTHOOD IS 25+ YEARS OLD AND UP) registered to their UNIT at the maximum ratio of 4-SCOUTS TO 1-ADULT.

4) MAY 4 IS STAR WARS DAY AROUND THE WORLD - DISNEYLAND WILL BE CLOSING AT 6:00 PM FOR THEIR PRIVATE AFTER DARK PARTIES.

5) ALL SCOUTING ADULTS ACCOMPANYING SCOUTS MUST HAVE COMPLETED BSA YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING AND AB506 MANDATED REPORTER TRAINING. PLEASE BRING PROOF TO CHECK IN WITH DRAGONAUTS CREW 333 AT 11:15 AM AT PIZZA PLANET IN TOMORROWLAND.

6) Everyone - Scout BSA and Adult BSA - attending must bring their own completed copy of this Activity Waiver to check in for ANY Dragonauts Crew 333 event.

7) PER SCOUTING AMERICA'S GUIDE TO ADVANCEMENT FOR 2025, ALL SCOUTS MUST SPEAK WITH THEIR SCOUTMASTER FIRST ABOUT THEIR INTENTION TO EARN ONE OR BOTH OF THESE MERIT BADGES -BEFORE- SHOWING UP ON MAY FOURTH WITH A SCOUTMASTER SIGNED BLUE CARD OR BE CONNECTED TO THE MERIT BADGE COUNSELOR(S) ON SCOUTBOOK.
