Learn to use a second heddle to double your weaving width! We will begin by double warping your loom, learning to place and use pickup sticks, and double weave. These skills can also be used to weave two separate pieces of fabric at once or even tubular textiles.
Prerequisites: Rigid Heddle Weaving Basics, or basic weaving experience
Note: You must have your own loom for this class. You will need a double-heddle set-up, two matching heddles (7.5 dpi recommended), two pick-up sticks appropriately wide for your warp, one shuttle, and your own warping set-up (peg, clamps, hook, and sticks/paper towel/other for back warp). We can order these items for your Ashford looms, but ask for at least 3 weeks lead time to make sure items can arrive prior to class. Please feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
Please note: Classes are non-refundable unless the class is cancelled or rescheduled. Please sign up for classes you know you can attend.
Wait lists are available for full classes. Please call us (206.935.2010) or send an email ([email protected]) if you'd like to be added.
This class will be held outdoors in our class pop up tents. Masks will be required
