Scottish-born and Vilnius-based Sholto Dobie is an artist who works with sound in its broadest sense. He creates his work with a range of sound sources, including homemade organs and bagpipes. Over the years, he has explored ideas related to folklore and environmental and sonic phenomena.
He has collaborated with artists and musicians such as Rie Nakajima, Judith Hamann, Lia Mazzari, Shakeeb Abu Hamdan, Ahti & Ahti, Antonina Nowacka, Malvern Brume, Lucia Nimcova and in the group Lo Escucho Lo Pinto.
Amina Hocine is a Swedish composer, sound artist and instrument maker from Stockholm. She writes acousmatic, acoustic and notated music focusing on long pieces exploring minimal harmonic movements and static rhythmic gestures. Her recent work is centred around a homemade organ composed of heating, ventilation and air conditioning parts that produces mesmerising drones with profound psycho-acoustic effects. Inspired by spiritual sciences, she weaves detailed timbres that encourage deep listening into her compositions.
