Double Bill! Csányi-Wills Trio & Tango Calor @ Kings Road Yard

Our beloved concert series The Chamber Stwdio is back — and we’re returning in style with a double bill of live music in the heart of Pontcanna.

Join us for a night that blends classical elegance and South American passion in the intimate atmosphere of Kings Road Yard, one of Cardiff’s most charming hidden venues.

We’re thrilled to welcome back composer and pianist Michael Csányi-Wills for the premiere of his brand new Trio, performed alongside Rosie Biss (principal cello, Welsh National Opera) and the Chamber Stiwdio's own Thomas Verity on clarinet.

The programme will also feature Michael’s Clarinet Sonata, written especially for Tom and featured on their recent album Echoes Across Borders — copies of which will be available for purchase on the night. Look out for some bonus items from the trio too, plus a surprise guest!

After the break, get ready to be swept away by the rhythms of Tango Calor — a brilliant Bristol-based trio bringing their love of Argentine tango music to Pontcanna for the first time. Formed by bandoneonist Mirek Salmon, the group also features guitar virtuoso Daryl Kellie and sensational vocalist Jimi Can. Expect sultry melodies, infectious rhythms and plently of Latin flair to round off the night.
