DYD is a county-wide youth dance company offering high quality dance experiences, for young people who have a real passion and enthusiasm for dance and want to take that extra leap in training.
What to expect from class:
DYD Seniors (ages 12-19) can expect to be supported, nurtured & challenged through fun, creative and technical contemporary training to become a more confident performer.
Throughout the year, we offer exciting performance opportunities as part of festivals, events and youth dance platforms. Here at DYD we believe in empowering young people through movement, creativity and performance!
DYD classes take place at YMCA Dorchester, Sawmills Lane, DT1 2RZ, on Sundays during term time. Term fees are indicated below. DYD can offer a limited number of bursaries to support dancers to attend class, get in touch for more details.
Term details:
Time: 11am-12:30pm (Seniors + Company)
Dates: Sunday 29th September - Sunday 15th December 2024 (no classes on Sunday 27th October and Sunday 3rd November 2024 for half term break).
Fee: £120 per term for classes, workshop with Feet Off The Ground Dance on Sunday 6th October and performance opportunities.
The full term is open to new dancers, who can try a class for free and see if it's up their street before committing.
