Join us for a unique hands-on workshop exploring Dorodango—the Japanese art of sculpting and polishing mud into luminous spheres in Helsinki!Dorodango is a traditional Japanese technique where simple natural materials like soil and water are shaped and polished by hand into a smooth, shining sphere. This process allows participants to experience how raw materials slowly gain a gentle glow through time and careful touch.
▶︎ Led by Ryo Mitani, a plaster artisan from Kyoto visiting Finland for the first time.
▶︎Welcomes all. No previous experience is needed.
▶︎The workshop will be conducted with Japanese and English interpretation.
