The oldest part of Perth Art Gallery was established in 1824 and designed by architect David Morison. It was one of the oldest purpose-built museums in the United Kingdom. The Museum’s collection contains thousands of objects relating to natural and social history, art, crafts, textiles, and cultural objects from around the world.
Perth Art Gallery invites you to look behind the scenes at one of the oldest purpose-built museum and gallery buildings in the UK, housing a collection of over half a million historic and artistic objects. The tour is be led by our curatorial team.
Guided tours start at 11.30am & 2pm . Spaces must be booked in advance.
Please be aware that parts of this tour take place in the basement of the building, which is only accessible by stairs and has uneven ground throughout. Please contact [email protected] if you have any queries regarding this.
