Join dozens of actors, authors, and community leaders for Doomsday 2024—the third annual 24-hour reading of Poe’s iconic writings, and a celebration of his artistic roots in Baltimore. Produced by The National Edgar Allan Poe Theatre and generously hosted by Poe Baltimore at the historic Carroll Mansion, the event will feature FREE activities for kids and adults, including access to the Poe Death Exhibit, Poe-themed arts and writing projects, Poe trivia, and, of course, the live reading of Poe's best-loved stories and poems.
Some of the readers who have already confirmed include:
Baltimore Krampus
MD State Delegates Mark Edelson & Luke Clippinger
Authors Kaye Wise Whiteman & Leslie Gray Streeter
Exectives from Poe Baltimore, the Baltimore Office of Promotion & the Arts, Greater Baltimore Cultural Alliance, and MORE
The event will be livestreamed on our website and our Givebutter page, where you can support the event and the theatre's award-winning radio dramas and other programs.
Bonus: we'll also be streaming Doomsday events by groups in Italy, England, Brazil, and Scotland, making this a truly international event!
