Synopsis: In a quaint little village, peasant Nemorino hopelessly dreams of nothing more than for the beautiful and sharp-witted farm owner, Adina, to notice his love and admiration. When a quack doctor, Dulcamara, comes to town selling a potion for every ailment, Nemorino asks for a remedy for Adina’s indifference. The charlatan takes what little Nemorino has in return for his “Elixir of Love”—in reality, a cheap bottle of wine. Nemorino, drunk on hope and an excess of vino, stumbles around content, unconcerned, and convinced Adina will fall for him within a few days. Suddenly neglected, Adina finds herself unexpectedly troubled, prompting her to vie to get Nemorino’s attention back by entertaining the advances of a handsome but noxious soldier, Belcore. So ensures chaos!
Featuring luscious melodies and crowd favorite arias (Una furtiva lagrima, Prendi, and more), you won’t want to miss this hilarious tale where innocent love ultimately conquers even the coldest of hearts.
