Dongar/Pani is a tender poetic story about the fragilespace where friendship transforms into love and silence
speaks volumes. When Savi decides to leave behind the
chaos of Bombay for a new job in Alibaug her departure
stirs unexpected emotions in her roommate Anu. What
begins as a simple goodbye becomes a heartfelt
exploration of growing up letting go and the invisible
bonds that shape us even as they slip away.
Written and directed by Sanjivani Kamble a
Mumbai-based filmmaker and designer the film is
a deeply personal reflection on memory love and
change. Created as her final college project
Dongar/Pani has been officially selected at the
Bengaluru International Short Film Festival 2025
and KASHISH Mumbai International Queer Film
Festival 2025 establishing Sanjivani as an
emerging voice in Indian cinema.
