Join Play NC and PORCH-Durham on September 13 to collect CANNED FOOD donations!PORCH-Durham’s mission is to provide supplemental food to children and families facing hunger in Durham County. They provide shelf-stable foods from our monthly neighborhood food drives, fresh produce, and emergency grocery gift cards. PORCH-Durham programs are designed to deliver foods and funds directly to locations where families are already receiving services to help eliminate access barriers.
With Winter Break coming up, it is important to make sure PORCH-Durham is well-stocked!
ITEMS REQUESTED:
- Canned Soups (no broth-only or cream-based soups)
- Canned Meats
- Canned Fruits ("no sugar added")
$50 BONUS IF WE REACH OUR GOAL
We collected approximately 800 (!!) cans of food in 2023. If we exceed that baseline goal, Play NC will add an extra $50 to PORCH-Durham's donation total, so every donation makes a difference!
