Join the Architectural Heritage Center for a talk with Portland authors Don DuPay and Theresa Griffin Kennedy. They will talk about their books and have copies available for purchase and signing.Don DuPay worked as a street cop from 1961-1967 for the Portland Police Bureau, before being promoted to detective, where he worked in the Safe Detail, Morals, Burglary and then finally the Homicide Detail until 1978. Don is the author of four books, "Behind the Badge in River City: A Portland Police Memoir", 2015, "Frank’s Revenge: Albina After Dark", 2019, "The Tainted Rose: Stories from a Portland Detective", 2023 and "Simon's Place: Stories of the Benson Hotel", 2025.
Theresa Kennedy is editor of OREGON GREYSTONE PRESS and a longtime writer of creative nonfiction. She is a poet, and writer of literary fiction with a focus on the contemporary genre of Domestic Noir. Theresa is Author of 7 books including, "Burnside Field Lizard and Selected Stories," 2018, "Talionic Night in Portland: A Love Story" 2021, "Lost Restaurants of Portland" 2022 and "We Learned to Live in the Castle: Stories" 2025.
